Elwyn AI
Elwyn AI is an AI-based platform that helps sales teams improve their skills through interactive roleplays. As a UI/UX Designer, I am responsible for designing intuitive, professional, and result-oriented user experiences.
My Role
UI/UX Designer
Duration
October 2024 - Present
Team
CEO Wiliam, CTO Feraldo, Fullstack Kevin, AI R&D Rafly, Assets Brian, Three Js Axel
What did I do?
User Research
Wireframing
Design System
Visual Design
Motion Design
Prototyping
Usability Testing
Background
In the early stages, the team had a vision of creating an AI-based professional communication training platform. However, there was no clear product form yet. I joined as an early UI/UX Designer, tasked with directing problem exploration, designing ideas, and creating the initial framework of a digital product from scratch.
👨🏿🦰 My main focus: validating product ideas and building the first user experience framework.
Problems Found
Young professionals and sales teams struggle to find realistic and scalable communication training media.
Offline training is time consuming and costly.
Most applications focus on hard skills (coding, design, accounting), not soft skills like communication, presentation, or negotiation.
Objectives
Validating the need for an AI-based communication training platform.
Designing an early solution (MVP) based on role-play simulations.
Designing the initial user experience from login to completing the first training session.
Research & Empathy
Method
Interview 12 target users (sales, marketing, and HR teams).
Online survey with 50+ respondents.
Findings
81% of respondents feel insecure when speaking in front of strangers or clients.
73% said they feel more comfortable practicing without a human (because of embarrassment/judgment).
Key needs: feedback, flexible persona, and familiar interface.
How Might We
“What if we could provide a virtual interlocutor who could practice communication?”
“How do we make users feel comfortable practicing speaking with AI, just like humans?”
Ideation
Solution
Role-play simulation in the form of conversational chat & voice.
Customizable persona (HR, client, interviewer, etc.).
Real-time feedback system after training.
