Overview

Overview

Story Journey is a platform that allows users to automatically convert scripts into videos for course needs. I act as a UI/UX Designer in developing intuitive and functional user experiences.
This product previously existed and was often used for internal teams to create animated videos. But it's not for marketing, and doesn't have a user interface. Until one day, one of the company's internal leads initiated this product to be marketed as well. Here we start defining, ideation, research, design and development

Key Features and Market Positioning

Customization & Templates

While InVideo and Animoto offer fairly comprehensive templates, Story Journey’s ability to provide customizable templates specifically for educational videos can be a significant competitive advantage.

User Interface & Usability

Story Journey needs to compete with platforms like Animoto that have intuitive and easy-to-use user interfaces. Providing step-by-step guides within the platform can increase its appeal to less technically experienced users.

Strenght

  • Clear focus on creating instructional videos from scripts, filling a gap that competitors have not fully addressed.

  • Strong integration potential with auto-generation features and customized templates for learning.

Weakness

  • Potentially less known than other established platforms like InVideo.

  • Requires investment in developing an intuitive and easy-to-use user interface.

  • Rapid changes in AI and video editing technologies that could change the competitive landscape quickly.

  1. Strategic

Focus on Differentiation

Story Journey should leverage the power of auto-generation and custom templates designed specifically for education, ensuring this is a key selling point.

Enhance User Experience

Investing in a simple and intuitive user interface, complemented by in-app tutorials and user support, will make the platform more appealing to less tech-savvy users.

Market Positioning

Do clear branding and marketing to position Story Journey as the best tool for instructors and learning content creators, differentiating itself from more common tools used for marketing and general content creation.

Explore Partnerships

Seeking partnerships with e-learning platforms and educational institutions can expand the reach and increase adoption of these platforms.
